Dear Friends

The Fellowship is a growing Southern Baptist Church in Central Texas, as well as a media and world outreach center. Located 60 miles north of Austin in Killeen Texas, we provide dynamic ministry to our local congregation of over 7,500 as well as missions and media outreaches around the world.

The vision God has given Memorial is to be a lighthouse of good news of our Lord Jesus Christ to Central Texas and beyond as we seek to "take our cities for God" through our local ministries and worldwide media and missions outreaches. Our endeavor is to evangelize, disciple, and establish men, women, and children in solid biblical teaching of the infallible and inerrant Word of God.

Our church has seen a mighty touch from The Lord. Since it's inception in 1951, Memorial has had only three Pastors and has seen well over 5,000 souls saved and baptized. Out of 6,200 Southern Baptist Church in Texas, MBC was ranked in the top ten churches (#5) in baptisms along side mega-churches in the great metropolitan areas of Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, (according to the 1997 statistics of the Baptist General Convention of Texas). In January, 1997 here in Killeen, a community of 75,000, people MBC held a week long crusade that saw 1093 professions of faith in our Lord Jesus. MBC is listed in the top 1% of the fastest growing churches among all the 400,000 churches in North America (according to Church Growth Today Research). Over 350 children per week are brought to the church from the lower income neighborhoods and are fed breakfast and taught bible study. A large singles ministry reaches out to the Fort Hood Community and an ever growing tape and broadcast Ministry spreads the Good News into local prisons and across four Continents. God's mighty hand is truly on this Fellowship.

Our continuing desire is to foster wholesome relationships both within our local body, as well as bring people to salvation in Jesus Christ as a result of our corporate and individual witness to a non-Christian world. In brief, Memorial is:

  • Relevant teaching of the Word

  • Spirit-filled worship and praise

  • Ministries to the family

  • Worldwide missions ministry

  • Evangelism and prayer

  • Cross-cultural ministry

We invite you to come and be apart of something special here at Memorial, the Fellowship of Killeen.
