To begin raising funds for this structure, we plan to have a community wide garage sale on October 8th here at the church. Your opportunity to help is as simple as this: we are asking for donations of garage sale items; any items in good condition you may have around the house that you are willing to give to our mission. We are looking for items such as infant and school aged children’s clothes in good condition, furniture, baby items, … anything really that would help us raise funds. We will be collecting these items on the following dates: Saturday, Sept. 17, Saturday, Sept. 24, and Saturday, October 1st.
You can drop donations off at the church, back near the MAC. If you have larger items like furniture or working appliances to donate, we would be happy to come to your house and pick them up on those same dates. Hours for drop-off or pick-up will be from 8am to 1pm. If you have items to donate or are simply ready to do some “spring cleaning” and you would like to schedule us to pick up, please contact me through the church office.
100% of funds raised will go to the costs of building this protective cover.
