Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him. Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

Colossians 2:6-7

I am creating a logo for Kid Quest that will appear on all our flyers for children’s events. My hope is that, as students grow older, they will move from— attending Kid Quest events, to serving in them, and eventually to leading them.

I wanted to have a different Bible verse for Kid Quest than what I have for Empower Kid Ministry, so I choose Hebrews 6:19 “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” Living the Christian life is not some wishful thinking but is something solid and secure.

In the early church, the anchor was a secret symbol used during times of persecution. It reminded believers to remain grounded during hardships and to place their hope in eternal life. I included an anchor with a rope to represent staying connected to God so that we do not drift away. Around the anchor, I added a garland. In ancient times, garlands were given to victors, and because Christ is our anchor, we have victory over death.

I would love for each of you to vote on the logo you feel best communicates this message and looks the most effective. I will announce the winning design at our next meeting on May 31st.
